Family License Agreement

For close family + friends — full site, zero cost, in exchange for a public testimonial and case-study permission.

1. Who this is for

Family members and close friends of Sherwin Gilani (founder of BE1st Studio). It's a relationship-based offer, not a marketing channel. We don't advertise it, and not everyone is eligible. Sherwin individually approves each Family License.

2. What you get

• A complete BE1st Studio site for your business or project (same as paid clients).
• Hosting on our infrastructure, indefinitely, at no charge.
• HTTPS, monthly maintenance, content edits — same scope as a paid Standard tier.
• Either a subdomain (yourname.be1st.io) or your own custom domain — your choice.

3. What we ask in return

• Showcase rights. We can list your site on the BE1st Studio portfolio (be1st.io homepage marquee), in pitch decks, on social, and in pitches to other businesses.
• Testimonial. When you've used the site for at least 60 days and feel good about it, write us a short honest testimonial we can quote. (If you don't feel good about it, tell us so we can fix it instead.)
• Right of first ask. If a friend or someone in your network asks who built your site, please mention us first. No commission, just word-of-mouth karma.

4. Limits

• Family License doesn't include third-party expenses we'd have to pay out of pocket on your behalf (custom integrations with paid SaaS tools, premium fonts you specifically request, etc.).
• We can't promise weekend or 2am support — same response window as paid clients (24h weekdays).
• Major rebuilds (whole new design, new industry vertical) aren't part of Family License — those would be quoted as a regular project.

5. Cancellation

Family License is mutually terminable, anytime, no penalty:

• You can ask us to take the site down or hand it off — we'll do it within 30 days.
• We can pause hosting if the relationship ends or the showcase value evaporates — we'll give you 60 days written notice and help you transition.

6. Ownership (same as paid clients)

You own your content. You own your domain (if you brought one). The platform stays with us. See Terms of Service §3 for full ownership details.

7. If you decide to upgrade to a paid plan

If your business takes off and you want to convert to a paid client (more support, faster turnaround, custom features): the conversion is seamless — same site, same domain, just flip your billing on. The setup fee is waived since we already built it. Monthly rate at our then-current pricing.

8. Privacy

Same as paid clients. See Privacy Policy.

9. Family License acceptance

By clicking "Accept Family License" on the offer page, you agree to these terms. We log the acceptance with timestamp + IP for our records — same as the paid agreement, just no charge attached.
